Campo Neva Esperanza

Centro Promocional Rural (CPR) MIR Esperanza

Is one of a 1,250 network of schools spanning five continents in an effort to educate, train and create employment for residents of rural communities. This initiative, undertaken by the French organization AIMFR (La Association Internationale des Mouvements Familiaux de Formation Rurale or International Association of the Family Movements of Rural Formation), strives to provide valuable vocational training to children and adults in an effort to fight poverty and stimulate the development of rural areas around the world.

A specialized curriculum is designed by each school to meet the specific needs of the areas in which they operate. By creating employment opportunities in these rural communities, the schools inhibit the exodus of rural youth to larger cities to find employment – a practice that places additional stress to many urban areas while eroding the core values and traditions associated with many rural communities.
